What is Coaching?
Coaching is a collaborative process designed to empower individuals to achieve their goals, desires, or objectives. It involves a structured conversation between the coach and the client, always focused on the end result. In each coaching session, I will be by your side, helping you work toward your ultimate aspirations. I'll actively listen, ask insightful questions, and help you identify your challenges, motivating you to reach your goals. Throughout the process, you’ll be encouraged to make decisions and take full responsibility for them.
How does coaching work?
Every coach may use a different approach to structure their sessions, but a widely used model is the GROW model, which stands for Goals, Reality, Options, and Way forward. This model is designed to keep you progressing toward your objective. As your coach, I will ask questions, carefully listen to your responses, and challenge you, all without judgment or giving advice.
What will happen during a coaching session?
Coaching sessions can take place over the phone, via Zoom, or in person. Typically, I'll send you a calendar invitation with all necessary details for each scheduled session. During the session, we will:
Each session lasts about an hour, but I make sure not to rush the process, allowing enough time between sessions so you can get the most value.
What coaching is not?
Coaching is not about giving advice or telling you what to do. Unlike mentoring or counseling, coaching is focused on empowering you to make your own decisions. If, during our coaching sessions, it becomes clear that this process is not the right fit for you, we will openly discuss this and explore other ways to support your personal growth.
Coaching sessions are completely confidential. I adhere to a Coaching Code of Conduct, ensuring that your privacy is respected. The only exception to this confidentiality is in extreme cases, such as criminal activity or if there is an intention to cause harm to yourself or others.
What Do I Need from You During a Session?
To make the most of our time, it’s important that you come prepared with a specific goal or aspiration you want to work on. It's helpful to spend around 10 minutes before the session in a quiet space where you won’t be interrupted, feeling refreshed and ready to focus. Bring a pen, paper, and any other materials that might assist you, such as a diary.
